Default Thread for Posters In Training

Anyone training right now, whether getting ready for a fight or using boxing training to stay in shape?

What does your routine look like? How many days per week? What kind of training?

I'm just trying to stay in shape. I train 5 days a week M,T,W,F,SAT. I usaully start to run the treadmill for about 25 minutes (no stop running). Then begin to lift lights weight for about 45 minutes. Out of the 5 days I'm in the gym.Three of those days I work on two different body parts different body part Chest and Back, Soulders and legs, and arms. But I do situps everyday and pushups

I'm about a month strong, but I just hope I can continue once school starts. Plus I work fulltime also

I get the feeling you are doing too much with your knee problems. Have you thought about staggering your workouts (M,W,F,Sa) to give yourself a rest. On the off days (T, TH, Su) you could stretch and relax.

As you know, I'm not back in the gym yet from my broken fibula but I am getting myself back in shape to get into the gym right now. My schedule is very light cause the last thing I want to do is re-injure it, but here it is:

Mon and Wed - bike for 20 min (warm up for 5, medium intensity for 15), swim laps in the pool for 45 min. I do one lap then rest for 30 seconds,,,,picking up the intensity about 30 minutes into it. Ab workout to top it off

Tues and Thurs - weight lift back, shoulders, and chest (only bench for chest), plus ab workout

Fri-Sun - Ab workout, maybe try going for a quick jog

That pretty much sums it up for me right now. I also have been trying to do some road work lately, but its pretty frustrating cause I only get about 1/4 mile and then it starts to hurt. I am slowly working it up though. Surprisingly doing stair climbers doesnt aggravate it as bad as running

Forgot to mention that I am also eating a lot of food right now (healthy food of course). I was told to get TONS of protein in my diet, and to eat plenty of good foods. Funny thing is that I have actually lost about 8 pounds in the last 6 weeks and im eating all kinds of foods. Probably because my physical activity went from zero to medium though

I will try that , but once I started to go back to the gym after a long layoff. I just loved going alot. Also how often should I use the rope out of the days you listed
