Gomez v. Morales
Morales would hold a significant height advantage in this match-up, I guess I do side with him somewhat.

Man, I'm having a hard time seeing Morales beat Gomez after having checked out five or six of his fights tonight. IMO this is a 65-35 fight in favor of Gomez.
He was just more technically refined than Morales, and the more athletic of the two also. The height wouldn't be such an issue IMO, with his upper body control and poise he would make due with his advantages and press Morales.
Do you think Gomez is a much more dynamic/potent fighter overall than Barrera in just about every category? Gomez/Barrera are about similar in size

Yeah, he is better Jecx. I hate to keep hearkening back to his upper body movement and control, but it just gives him an edge of athleticism that-- in combination with his footwork-- gives him more tools than Barrera to work with.
To be honest, in this type of comparison, Barrera is just the more limited of the two fighters, which is partly why he fought fire with fire on occasion. He just lacked some mobility to adjust, use and angle and reset. Not to discredit him though, he gave guys hell instead.
First thing that struck me when I saw this stuff on Gomez was how strong he looked at 122lbs and how smooth and fluid like he was. I mean he moves so gracefully and in total control of every part of his body, he boxed with power and authority yet without making stupid unnecessary mistakes

Gomez was just so much more skilled than Morales. Above 122 I see it being much closer, though.
