Need Help with old postcard from a ?"boxer"?
Hello,
I am a historian in my area, and I just recieved an old postcard that appears to be from a boxer about a fight. I would like to post what is written on the card to see if it rings a bell with anyone here:
PostMarked:
Lake Katrine, Sep, 20th, (year smudged badly, but could be 1916)
Addressed to:
Mr. Joie Sillerman (hard to read, may be something similar)
VIP Bevay NOTE TELLER
N.Y. City
of Nat Park BK
Dear Boss,
I am having a hell of a time already. To-night Jack Murray of N.Y. is going to fight Battling Thyman of Albany ten rounds at the Kingston G? C. me for the big show. My, how happy I am the police up here are harmless. Be good to yourself, but above all be good to the boys.
Kid ?Khalmer?
alias Bones
Six No Diff.
out of 17 choice ?(chains)?
?(abuse)? class.
Does anyone know about any fighters with these names? Can anyone tell me anything about this?
Thanks!
