He is intriguing. But if he gets KOŽd its would be back to square one. His talking and hyping himself, along with his skill level, is the most interesting thing in the division right now.
Thats unfair to Vlad maybe, but an honest opinion none the less. |

He will be a player, perhaps a good one, perhaps a nobody. But it will be entertaining, which is much needed.
What concerns me is his walking around at 235, he looked awesome at 217 and hopefully he trains to that weight everytime, his power sounded like a baseball bat smacking that Bonin. Such gives high hopes for an entertaining fighter in the division that could possibly KO anybody. |

Haye will not be a dominant champion, but he'll give the fans intriguing fights with a high level of skill, speed, and power rarely seen in today's unconditioned heavyweights. Expect to see a murderous puncher who either takes his opponent out or gets taken out. I, for one, can't wait to see his next fight.
Besides Klitschko, fights with Povetkin, Peter, and Valuev would be great. |

To be honest im not sure what to think of Haye as a heavyweight yet. Exciting? Of course he is! But im unsure as to how good he will be, and if he can back up that mouth of his.
I hope his chin holds up heavy....im not sure if its quite as bad as people make it out to be though, because his "TKO" loss to Thompson was a corner stoppage....not him laying out on the canvas unconscious like a lot of people make it out to be. As of right now I would surely call him the savior of the heavyweight division, but only for "hopes" until he proves himself. I know he REALLY wants to dethrone Wlad, but unfortunately I think Povetkin might do it first |

I'm going to refrain from voting because I think "save" is a bit dramatic, however, I certainly think he'll bring a much needed intrigue & excitement that the division has lacked recently.
The main question mark over his ability to reign supreme surrounds his chin, however, the current main man of the division has chin issues of his own that we have seen exploited on numerous occasions. Haye has power & speed and, although we can't be certain yet, I'm pretty sure his power will carry through to heavyweight. |

I'm gonna say yes, i'm pretty sure haye will mantain the power needed as he has awsome punching power, and something the current crop of heavyweights lack, speed.I think the only thing that could be his undoing is his chin, although having said that i'ts still open to debate wheather he has a glass jaw or not. Will be interesting to see how he takes his first big shot on the chin.

could it not be argued that he already has?
imagine a world without david haye, and then look at both the heavyweight, and cruiserweight divisions - nothing there at all, no one would watch wlad other than to see him lose because he is that terrified of being hit and losing his title - thompson barely hit him, and not hard at that, yet wlad froze like a dear in headlights and seemed to really not take them well at all. and thompson is VERY limited. now haye has everyone talking, everyone wants to watch the heavyweight division because everyone wants to see what will happen when a guy who hits like an asteroid, is faster than most, actually keeps in shape, and is not afraid of anyone - in his 21/22 fights he has fought some damned good names, and up until the thomson loss - was fighting some VERY impressive guys by 10/11 fights, and that was just on his talent/power alone, it wasn't until his loss that he realized he needed to take this seriously to get anywhere, and look at the results, koing the undisputed cruiserweight champion in the champs back yard only 9-10 fights later. and becoming one of the biggest stars virtually in the division with only one "test" fight. so has he saved the HW division - yes. Will he go on to reestablish the division - let's all hope so, because this is a guy that means one thing - action, he's not going to play safety first, he's there to either kill or be killed, and the best man may win - it's a great attitude, and hopefully will pay dividends for him. |

No, he prefers shit talking and bulking up over finding proper opponents and protecting that shaky chin.
He could beat the likes of Peter because Peter Is a weak champ but the decent ones with a punch will lay him out. |
