The day after the Trinidad/DLH fight, I honestly heard more Mexican's around town as well as the spanish radio stations absolutely DOGGING DLH for the way he fought against Tito and some mexicans even gave props to Tito and they didn't care if DLH lost when he should have won because they felt he fought disgracefully.

Which is basically precipitated salt from when DLH destroyed everyones hero Chavez Sr.

This is why it took Cotto about half of his career fights to win over the Puerto Rican crowd hardcore, and it only took JuanMa a few right hooks on PDL to win them over.

I think its bullshit because Cotto is a true great fighter and he has represented PR with nothing but respect because of his strong character.
Agreed. Nothing but good things to say about Cotto.

I loved Tito when I was younger too. He was explosive and charismatic and his ring walks would just make you feel pride throughout as a fan. I came to see him a little different later though and right or wrong just kind of came to see him as a boxer that wasn't adaptable or intelligent so his stock went down.

Cotto has no personality that's why. Cotto is probably the most boring fighter that's a superstar.

Tito's stock fell when his physical size was no longer an issue...Fighters that rely on power will always hit that brick wall when their opponent can take their punch. Tito at 147lbs and first few fights at 154lbs was a thing of beauty.

Don't get me wrong, I still love him. But he isn't the most adaptable boxer in the world. The Winky fight sealed that impression right or wrong.
