WHO IN THE HELL CAN HE FIGHT THAT HAS A BIG NAME OTHER THAN HOP? Hop already said there is not enough money for him and Dawson. THERE ARE NOT TO MANY BIG NAMES AT 160-CW anyway. This is not the lower classes PacD. Joe beat Hop, Lacy, Kessler and Jones. Dawson beat Adamek, Harding, Johnson, and Tarver. That seems like a perfect set up for me and probably everyone else. Calzaghe already stated before the fight that Dawson is a great fighter anyway. So why not, it's a fight that really means something for both fighters. Joe can retire saying he beat all his threats. Dawson can become a new king at LHW

Kessler or Bhop will do. If Dawson can do better than what Calzaghe did with either these 2 guys, then these fight will get hype.

Hop said its not enough money for him to fight Dawson. Which is funny to me, because Hop was the same one who was feeling that way back in the day. But it doesnt matter, because Hop came up the hard way. Kessler wants Hop anyway I beleive. Joe is talking like Dawson is a possibilty. It will draw because you have an America hopeful like Taylor was. Then you got a man who beats all the Americans hopefuls and talks shit about America at the same time. Calzaghe is a star now and is the talk of America right now. Its called Marketing baby, they did the same shit with Holmes and Cooney put used the race card. Same with Pac and Mexicans. Hbo will make this fight happen, plus it will be in Wales

Dawson need one more impressive showing before this fight could happen.

I think Joe will retire to be honest - he's got no desire left, he's beaten everyone there is, apart from Dawson... Dawson can make his own legacy, and if he loses to Joe - it will be a black mark on his legacy. Like Kessler, Pavlik - no matter how successful they are in the future, lose to Joe/Bhop now - they're still going to be compared as not as good as the previous generation - no matter what they achieve. I'd stay the hell away and make his own legacy. risk outweighs the reward.

You are right about Pavlik loss to Hopkins affects his legacy but Kessler loss to Calzaghe does'nt affect Kessler in a bad way because he was competitive with Joe and gave him all he can handle where as Pavlik did'nt even win one round against Hopkins and we can all agree that Kessler would be competitive with Hopkins win or lose.

Yep, I told my cousin about the fight and he was like that is a good move for Kessler. He also said he isnt as limited as Pavlik either. He also said Hop will never fight Dawson whicjh I agree about.

In reality Pac should fight Marquez again or Hatton, before Hoya. Its nothing but a bull shit fight that we would all love Pac to win. Hoya should be fighting Margo, Clottey, Cotto, or Williams anyway. Diaz was a sitting target if you want to tell the truth about shit I think everyone on these boards and who are fans would love to see a fight with Calzaghe and Dawson. If you don't want to I don't know what to say. I already told you why it would be a good fight. But I guess Pac just blocks your vision on anything that concerns boxing. You probably only seen a couple Dawson fights anyway. He looked great against Adamek, Tarver and Harding. Johnson was a hard fight towards the end, but that happens to every boxer.

i think dawson is a good fighter but i don't think he could win this fight, calzaghe's style is all wrong for him, throwing flashy combinations then taking a 20-30 second break won't be good enough against calzaghe,he just won't give him time to do this with his constant pressure imo.

The difference between Pac & Dawson is Pac is a Proven Money draw and dawson is way...way behind in terms of Popularity for Calzaghe to consider to fight him now. You gotta built Dawson first before a Superfight. Remember also that Dawson look bad against Grandpa Glen Johnson. I look at these fight in the eyes of the Promoter, this is Big Business.

Pac is a proven money draw only against another big fighter. The Diaz fight didnt do well at the Mandlay Bay or PPV sells He needs another fighter just like everyone else. Only Hoya, Tito, Tyson, Ali, SRL, and Holyfield in his prime could sell fights against lesser oppenents. Pac is not in that group imo, but is a great fighter to watch. But I do understand what you're saying trust me.

Also a Dawson fight in Wales is a automatic sellout. Joe sells well in Wales my man

I hear you on that, but Joe is a sucker for the right lead which Dawson throws well. Both are southpaws and Dawson throws well to the body and has a great jab. But hey you might be right Joe may be to much for him. But its a fight msot of us would love to see, besides one poster

True calzaghe/dawson would be a 70,000 sellout at the millenium for sure.
