You won't believe me (I wouldn't believe me if I wasn't me) but girls like Adriana Lima are dime a dozen in Latin American cities.

Highly disagree that it would be a true boxing lesson, especially against Calzaghe who has remarkable adaptability, the workrate to trouble Dawson when he takes his usual breaks, and great handspeed of his own. After Calzaghe gets into a groove, it's hard to time his in-and-out movements and even harder to fight a perfect fight against him because he's always making subtle changes and giving different looks. Not saying Dawson couldn't win. I think he can, but a boxing lesson? As in completely outclass, somewhere along the lines of 9-3 or 10-2...don't see it at all.

ACB, Calzaghe-Dawson. What's your take?

Depends on the place. People are generally open. Be careful, lots of scandal amongst all the good people.

I've seen painfully little of Dawson.

His entire fight vs Tarver is on youtube, jump on and have a look.

Tremendously talented fighter, still improving as well.

Along with Gamboa, the biggest potential to do great things in the sport. Especially if he can grab victories over Calzaghe and Kessler.

His biggest weakness will be his chin... The rest will come in time with experience.

The way I see Dawson is similar to Miguel Cotto. Extremely talented and skilled fighter. Very very well rounded and knows his ins and outs in that ring. But there may be those intangible variables that might lead to his downfall. Although if he ever faces Calzaghe those intangibles shouldn't really be a factor, as he would either get completely out boxed or he'd outbox Calzaghe. I don't see anything that Dawson does that will necessarily shock or confuse Calzaghe. That fight would just test the will of both fighters to commit to their game plan.

Jecx, I was going to make this point but you beat me to it. One thing that Dawson and Cotto both do that in their fights is that they like to take breaks in rounds that they're are winning to conserve energy but just like Cotto did'nt have that luxury to do that against Margarito, Dawson won't be able to do that either against Calzaghe.

Great insight Jec. Very similar to Cotto in that respect, albeit they both fight out of different primary styles.

I haven't seen enough of Chad Dawson to answer my own question. But who impresses you in terms of over all versatility and their ability to adapt? Miguel Cotto is somewhat more proven no? From what I've seen of Dawson so far I'd say Cotto but I really haven't seen enough of Dawson to know.

Calzaghe doesn't apply pressure like Margarito does though. He is a very different fighter, one that works behind his jab, and gives Dawson room to use his boxing ability.

Dawson is naturally bigger than Calzaghe also, as well as having faster hands and longer reach, with more punching power.

Very different fight to marg v Cotto. Although i can see some similarities in both chin and workrate between Cotto and Dawson, the comparsion you have made between Marg and Calzaghe is a poor one.
