Darchinyan should be able to stop the current, shopworn version of Arce in the middle portion of the fight. Arce will be walking into a lot of crisp, quick counters and it'll wear him down.

Vic isn't comfortable when someone gets on the inside. If Arce can do this, it will be a very interesting fight. Against a power punching southpaw, this may be hard to do however.
Back on ESB i said that i thought Mijares was an easier fight than Arce, due to Arce being able to make Vic fight off the back foot, something he doesn't like doing, which makes him very uncomfortable. I still fully expect this to be the case. Vic really needs to tighten up his defense in close quarters. At times in his career he has seemed awful from this position, and very open for punishment. This will be a competitive fight IMO, unless Arce really walks into something big and kets KTFO. |

This is a fun, interesting matchup, but it should have happened a year or two ago when it would be a much closer fight. I've followed Arce's career closely for years now and it's obvious that he's way past his best. IMO, a prime Arce would stop Vic. He had one-punch KO power (even more than Vic at 115), and was a relentless pressure fighter with an excellent chin and a ton of heart. Darchinyan would have to take his huge shots at times and I doubt he would be able to take them without getting badly hurt and taken out. Fast forward to today though, Arce doesn't look good. His chin is a serious concern now.. he's been stunned or hurt in most of his fights at least once ever since the Mijares beating and it was from punches that he would have walked through when he was younger. He fights in spurts a lot more now and he doesn't have that fire that he used to have for the majority of the rounds anymore.. he looks a lot more vulnerable and his stamina isn't what it was. Darchinyan should be able to hurt him without much trouble and Arce will pretty much be there to get hit at will. Arce still has a chance, because he still has a punch and Vic's chin is shaky, but Darchinyan should be able to fight smart and destroy him rather quickly, maybe very quickly. IMO, Darchinyan TKO 4.

Darchinyan isn't one to duck fighters. He's fighting Arce only a few months after the Mijares destruction and people have been wanting this fight for a while. If they continue to win, they will meet.. both of them love challenges and want the fight.

Yeah man, I actually agree, I just wish someone would fight him, b/c until Vic does, he is no undisputed champion.
