I like Lamont as a fighter alot and I feel he is ready for a world title shot now. He has a good punch output and defense that's very reminiscent to Winky and Ike Quartey's. He impressed me alot in his last fight against a very solid fringe contender named Lanardo Tyner, he had some rough moments in the beggining of the fight but managed to take control of the fight and win a wide UD. My only complaint against him is that he lack a killer instinct, he would have more KO wins on his record if he were better at following up on his punches when he has an opponent hurt because he is accurate with his punches and has pretty good pop on them, but I have noticed in his last two fights that when he has an opponent hurt he has the habit of shelling up and trying to counter but all in all that's the only flaw I have seened and from the few times he has gotten hit flush he has showned to have a good beard. So what is everyone else's thoughts on him??
BTW Junior WW is another division that seems to have a bright future like 154. |

I never really payed to much attention to the brothers. They kind of got that ESPN 2 Allan Green hype to me. So I cant answer this tread, but just tell you how I feel.
Thanks for the thread, becasue you make me want to watch him more |

I'm not too sure of his brother, Lamont is defitnely the better of the two but they are on Top Rank and Arum is great at developing fighters so they do have that on their side.

Besides Hatton I'm not sold on anyone in that class not even Bradly. So besides Hatton 140 is up for grabs imo |

Holt is alright, but I'm not a big fan. But I would love to see him and Harris get in on. Both have shaky chins and are not the greatest boxers. But they both have punch power for sure

I like both the Peterson brothers and would like to see them do well, but while they've seemed solid when I've watched them, I haven't really sat up and said, "Wow" to anything I've seen. Good, but maybe not great? Anyway, they have time to improve and I'll be watching them closely.

Is it funny that I think Hatton is great after the Paulie win. His stocked jumped bigtime with me. But I really realized how great Floyd is. What's up with AT1? LOL |
