CAMPBELL VS. GUZMAN OFF!

Sources close to the situation have just informed us that the clash between former super featherweight champion Joan Guzman and WBA, IBF & WBO champion Nate Campbell is officially off. Late last night, Guzman was forced to go to the hospital after suffering from dehydration and coughing up blood.

After coming in 3.5 pounds over the 135-pound limit, Guzman was given two hours to make the weight, but opted not to, instead returning to his hotel room. Hours later, Guzman was taken to the hospital for observation after coughing up blood. Due to the seriousness of the situation, the fight with Campbell has been called off.

I think this is old news actually. The story is dated the 13th and it's talking about something that took place on the 12th.

I have Guzman/Cambell on Setanta - now i'm not going to get to see anything

bad luck for Guzman though - maybe there was a reason he didn't make the weight, which his medical state is showing us now - some form of illness or something?

This is fucking tragic man. I get home and read the news...depressing. but hey...I think its better that when Guzman gets a shot at his title that he does so healthy, at the correct weight, and not at 50%. I would have pulled out too. Anyways I'm out to catch the fights. Fights on!
